I’ve been using the Curlook Curly Hair Styling Cream, and it’s made a remarkable difference in my hair. This silicone-free cream provides excellent moisture and defines my curls without leaving them feeling stiff or crunchy. The blend of niacinamide, shea butter, and murumuru butter not only keeps frizz at bay but also gives my curls a beautiful, healthy shine. I love how my hair feels stronger and looks more vibrant. If you want bouncy, well-defined curls, this styling cream is a must-try!

  2. Sarah M

The styling cream is game changer. It has helped my curl health so much – adding moisture, reducing frizz, leaving defined but soft curls. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for curly hair cream with good hold but not leaving hair feeling dry or crunchy.

    CANT w the strong smell
I got this for my daughter who has long, nice, natural curls. There are time when she just puts her hair in a bun because it’s hard to manage. So, I thought this would help. She was hesitant to put it on at first because of the STRONG, flowery smell. But she put it on in hopes that smell will fade. It didnt. So, she was at work annoyed and paranoid that people can smell her. lol It made her very uncomfortable. Sure, it kept her hair tame with less frizz and even moisturized it a little BUT she said that because of the smell, it wasnt worth putting on. The smell is not bad…it’s just too strong and all attention will be on you! lol If the company will reduce the strength in the smell, she said she would love to try it again. But soften the smell!

    Works, but STRONG smell!
This works decently well on my 2B waves for keeping a nice, soft curl, but OMYGOD is has a really strong smell. It’s a nice smell, but it is way too strong for me and lingered all day. I don’t want to wear perfume in my hair. I am pretty sensitive to smells in general so maybe it’s just me, but if you don’t like strong scents, I wouldn’t recommend this. Also, I’ve found other products that not only smell better, but do a little bit better job for my 2B waves.

Defined, soft curls without any crunch
This styling cream worked so well for my curls. It adds definition without weighing my hair down or leaving any sticky residue. My curls feel soft, flexible, and moisturized all day, and I love that it’s free of silicones and sulfates. The light fruity scent is pleasant but not overpowering. It spreads easily through damp hair and helps tame frizz while keeping my curls bouncy. I also like that it has nourishing ingredients like shea butter and niacinamide that leave my hair looking healthier over time.

    The scent is STRONG
This curly hair styling cream by CURLOOK is just okay. As I said in my review of the shampoo from this same line of products, the biggest problem is the scent. It is just SO strong—so strong that I can’t continue to use it. I could smell it before I even took the plastic wrap off the bottle! That is how strong the scent is.

My teenage son, who has wavy hair like mine, has been using it and likes just fine. I’m not so sure it makes his hair look curlier or that it helps his curls look more defined, however. I really don’t see much difference in his curls at all after using this styling cream. I wouldn’t say that this cream adds to the softness of his curls, but it doesn’t make his curls feel crunchy or anything like that. The moisturize level of this product seems suitable, and there is no greasiness. It’s in a good-sized bottle, so I feel that the value for the money isn’t bad for a specialty product for curls. However, I just cannot really recommend this product due to the strong scent of fragrance. If you want to accentuate your curls, I would suggest trying another styling product that doesn’t have such a strong scent.

    Good for daily shampooers only
At the onset, I really liked this curl cream. It worked great, making my hair very soft, did a good job clumping my curls for better definition, and smelled very nice. My hair was bouncy and very healthy looking. I felt it penetrated well and moisturized my curls extremely well. However, I have older hair, and I do not wash my hair every day. I like to shampoo only every two to three days. I noticed with this cream that it failed to keep my curls together past the one day mark. My nice thick curls separated into individual hairs, and my hair gained about three times the volume that it had on day one. It still felt soft and smelled nice, but they styling element had faded. Therefore, though it is easy to use and I really liked it on day one, I would only recommend this product for those of you who will be washing and styling your hair daily. I don’t feel it provides the longevity required for the rest of us.

Reasonable Moisture But Not Much Styling
define curls and reduce frizz. She initially used this styling cream on her wet hair in the morning. The first problem she encountered was getting the pump top to deploy. Despite rotating the top, the pump did not pop up. She removed the pump with tube from the bottle and tried to deploy it, but it still did not work. She therefore had to dispense the cream directly from the bottle neck. Another problem was the scent of the cream. She was unable to completely describe the scent, but stated that it was strong. The odor was somewhat floral and somewhat piney. She did not particularly enjoy the scent, although she did use the cream and found that the odor dissipated. The cream was easy to use, and applied well to wet hair. She applied it in sections throughout her hair, and then scrunched her hair and let it air dry. She found that this product worked better in combination with her usual hair gel, as it is not much of a styling cream. Her hair did seem slightly less frizzy when using this cream, and there was a moisturizing effect. It did not leave her hair feeling heavy or crunchy. The price point is comparable to other hair products, and there is a good amount of product in the bottle.

    Mediocre
Curly Hair Styling Cream | Silicone-Free – 400ml (13.5 oz) – Transforms and revives hair into soft, flexible, defined curls | Made in Canada… This styling cream is sadly just so-so. The fragrance is a little strong but not unpleasant. It works acceptably well although not something to rave about.

It’s difficult for me to judge the moisturizing capabilities of this styling cream as my hair is already nicely hydrated via a gentle shampoo and conditioning treatments but it seems ok. Not something I would purchase again, though.

    Curl styling cream
The smell is so very strong in this. I have used it a few times and the scent is intense. The first time I used this styling cream I got a lot of cast from it and my hair was very stiff and crunchy. I used less the next time and let my hair air dry. my curls were much softer and gentle. I do feel like it reduced the fizziness and fluffiness but I am not really sure I would say my curls were more defined. Once I got the amount right, I don’t feel like it added any weight to my hair but it didn’t really add any bounciness.

Adds Volume and Definition to Curls and Reduces Frizz
This Curlook Curly Hair Styling Cream is a leave in cream that you apply to wet or damp hair and work in thoroughly from your roots to your tips, then dry or style as you normally would. It contains a variety of ingredients like Triolein Oil, Shea Butter and Murumuru Butter that help to moisturize your hair and replenish natural hair nutrients, leaving your hair feeling soft to the touch with almost no frizz. It works best when used in combination with other Curlook products like their shampoo and conditioner, but it works well even when used on its own. My wife has been using a diffuser to dry her hair after using this cream and says it leaves her hair feeling much softer and looking fuller and her curls have more body and bounce.

This styling cream is fairly light and has a creamy white consistency. It does not weigh your hair down and it does not leave it feeling greasy or oily afterwards. While it’s described as having a fruity scent, both my wife and I felt it was more floral than fruity, and was very similar to the scent of the Curlook shampoo and conditioner.

    Rien d’exceptionnel
Mes attentes étaient élevées. Honnêtement pour le prix ça ne vaut pas la peine… mes cheveux sont très long et frisés, je m’attendais à une belle définition des boucles mais rien de grandiose.

  14. Kairi (Amazon Customer)

    Defines my curls well
For context I have naturally curly hair, about mid length that is about a 3A curl pattern with some 3B and some straighter pieces mixed in. It is more or less defined depending on what products that I have used in my hair on wash day and what I did to try it, air dry or using a diffuser attachment on my hair dryer. It is relatively dry as curls tend to be.

So first off I used the shampoo, conditioner and curl cream from this Curlook Curly hair line of products. The products really work well and compliment each other well.

These products are a bit scented but it doesn’t tend to cling to my hair after so I don’t mind it at all. This curl defining cream works well to work it through my wet hair and use a brush to help define my curls. It really helps them to have ringlet curls.

The cream can be a little heavy so I make sure to use it with water to make it not quite as heavy for my curls. It works great for me this way.

Very pleased that this is a Canadian brand and will definitely purchase it again as long as it continues to work well for me.

Nearly Perfect Styling Cream – Just a Little Too Fragrant
I selected this styling cream for my wife who usually uses mousse to achive some curls. This cream truly lives up to its promise of transforming hair. It has a lightweight, non-greasy texture that doesn’t weigh down her waves, which is critical for her hair type. After applying it to wet hair, her waves dried into beautiful, soft, flexible, and wonderfully defined curls. It holds the definition all day without any crunchiness or stiffness. We are thrilled that it’s Silicone-Free and Made in Canada, focusing on hair health.

The only drawback is the strength of the scent. While the fragrance itself is pleasant, it is quite potent and lingers for a long time. For those who are sensitive to stronger smells, this could be an issue.

Lots of Body But Made My Hair Look and Feel Dry
I tried this styling cream in multiple ways before reviewing it.
I normally put styling cream on wet hair right after washing and conditioning and then the next day on dry hair so that’s how I used this cream too.

The biggest benefit I found was that this added a lot of body to my hair, especially the next day when used on dry hair.
It has a fairly mild almost aftershave type smell. Although it’s a pleasant scent, it doesn’t fade and my pillow and clothes smell like it the next day. It’s not strong enough to give me a headache thankfully as I am fragrance sensitive.

Unfortunately this really dries my hair out badly. Although my hair looks and feels fine once this has been washed out, when it’s on my hair, my hair feels dry, damaged and dead. It also causes the ends of my hair to knot up badly if I use it a couple of days in a row without washing my hair.

I was looking for a replacement for my current rather expensive styling cream. I think the price of this one is okay but I would not call it moisturzing at all despite the really great sounding ingredients.

I really wish I could keep using this but even my hairdresser was surprised at how dry and puffy my hair looked after being freshly washed and conditioned with this curling cream on. I didn’t even blow dry my hair but let it air dry (as usual). Using this hair cream is the only thing I did differently. When my hairdresser put a different curling product on after just getting my bangs trimmed, my hair bounced right back to it’s normal curly, shiny, healthy look.

Unfortunately this product didn’t work well for my hair and despite the decent price, the value isn’t there for me.

Lightweight cream that leaves curls feeling soft and bouncy! That “healthy shine” is missing though
Like with other curlook curly hair products (including shampoo and condition), the styling cream is very strongly scented. The scent does wear off as it dries, but it is a striking floral odour that may be offsetting for people.

The product itself left my wife’s hair feeling soft and her curls bouncy. She did complain that it didn’t have the same shine as her other leave-in cream, though she enjoyed just how lightweight it was.. it didn’t feel thick and did not weigh her hair down at all. There seems to be some trade off with the product; you’ll end up with soft and bouncy curls that don’t have that same shine that creams with silicone might offer.

Great for wavy hair but didn’t love the scent
This styling cream was great for my thick wavy hair. It didn’t leave my hair crunchy like most styling creams. I was even able to add a bit of mist to my hair the next day to get my waves back. I would definitely recommend this cream. It wasn’t too thin or sticky like some either. My daughter said it kept her frizzies away. Didn’t love the smell but would buy again. Love that this is a Canadian product.

    Lightweight Styling Cream
The Curly Hair Styling Cream hydrates and defines curls, leaving the hair feeling soft and bouncy.

The cream is applied to damp hair, is lightweight and does not weigh the hair down. It reduces frizz, leaving the hair manageable and easy to style.
The product is free from silicones, sulfates, parabens and dyes so it is gentle on the hair.

The fruity scent is mild and pleasant.
The price is high for a 400 ml. bottle.

Overall, a decent everyday styling cream for curly hair.

    Smells overly fragranced
The scent is very powerful and almost a complete turn off but I decided to give it a try. Its very light hold and left my hair very soft and touchable. And frizzy. I may use again but would need to combine with other products.

    Defines Curls
As someone with wavy to curly hair, I always struggle to find products that work. Curlook’s curly hair styling cream is great – it doesn’t leave your hair crunchy and defines your curls easily. I found it reduced my frizz and defined my waves into more curls. I used it after Curlook’s curly hair shampoo and conditioner and WOW my hair was the best it has looked in years!
The only drawback is it has a very strong floral scent so if that’s not your jam you may not enjoy it.
