I can’t believe my hair looks like this, it’s just so pretty, soft and shiny

Much better than more expensive curl creams!
Prior to ordering this styling cream, I had never heard of Curlook and honestly didn’t know what to expect. I’ve tried a lot of curl creams over the years, but this is probably one of the best yet and it rivals products that cost more than twice as much.

The bottle is much larger than expected and will last a long time. The scent isn’t my favorite and it’s a little odd but thankfully it doesn’t linger in the hair. The pump top is super convenient, especially when your hands are already coated in product, and it helps to keep everything mess-free.

The cream itself has an unusually runny, lotion-like consistency and is much thinner than what I’m used to. Not only does this styling cream define my “curls” (2C type hair), it also helps with frizz, and best of all it leaves my hair incredibly soft and smooth. My hair doesn’t really get tangled now and is much easier to refresh in the mornings, saving me a lot of time. After just a few spritzes of water and a little oil, I’m ready to go.

A little goes s long way
I do love this products results. My only issue is the scent. It smells very manly.

Great curls without stiff hair and sticky hands
The CURLOOK Wavy Hair Styling Cream worked very well defining my curls. My hair is on the border of wavy and curly and a good product can make a ton of difference. I liked the result of this product and I knew it truly helped when my roommate, who didn’t know I was trying out a new product, saw me and said (unprompted) “your curls look fantastic today.”

Other than how it works, the 2 main things I like in a curl product are how it feels in my hair and how easy it is to get off my hands when I’m done. This passed both tests. In my hair it’s barely evident that I have a product in from the look/feel of my hair. As for my hands – nothing drives me crazier than using a product and washing my hands afterwards and them being as slick as they were before washing – even using soap, warm water, etc. However, this easily rinsed out just with water, so I didn’t have to attack my fingers with a towel to keep from leaving a trail of greasy prints around the house.

It arrived with a very secure shrink wrap, so it didn’t leak in transit (another big pet peeve of mine when order hair products online). Per the instructions, I used it on damp hair. I then diffused it to where it was mostly dry. The attached photo is after I’d laid down on a pillow for a bit, so it’s a little flat but you can get the idea.

The product is a bit more expensive than the ones I usually use, but it also seems to be a better product, so I think it’s worth the money.

    Enhance your curls
I dampened my mixed textured hair before applying the very silky cream. It looked a little thin, but appearances didn’t mean anything in this case. It went on very well, and my wavy curls immediately bounced up. It didn’t take long at all for it to set, and while of course it feels like I have product in my hair, my hair doesn’t look crunchy. I was skeptical, but this is pretty decent stuff! However, the scent is so strong that as soon as I removed the plastic on top, it came through. If scents are a problem for you, you’ll hate this. I quite like how it smells, but it IS very powerful. I think $22 is rather expensive for some goop, but we all have different priorities. For the size and quality, I would expect to pay closer to $15. It washed off of my hands very easily, with no residue left over.

Effective styling product for waves/curls – Faulty pump
I have naturally wavy hair (2C) that turns into beautiful 3A curls with the right products and technique. I’m always testing new styling creams and gels to see what boosts my waves into curls. Surprisingly, this CURLOOK Wavy Hair Styling Cream is not a cream at all. The texture reminds me of a thin shampoo. I’m confused as to why they even call it a styling cream. It spreads easily through wet hair because of the thin consistency. It defines my waves/curls nicely without leaving them crunchy, dry, flakey, or greasy. My hair feels soft and frizz is kept under control. My hair doesn’t refresh well, regardless of product used, so I can’t provide any feedback on 2nd day hair. A small amount goes a long way, so the large 13.5 ounce bottle should last a long time. I appreciate that they give such a large quantity since most of my styling products come in smaller bottles. CURLOOK didn’t skimp on fragrance in this product. They went BOLD. Personally. I wish they had dialed it back because strong scents sometimes give me a headache. If you’re sensitive to fragrance, this might not be the product for you. The pump on my bottle absolutely would not release, no matter how much I pushed and twisted. The pump felt flimsy like it may break as I pushed on it to try to get it to release. I have to unscrew the top and pull the dispenser out each time I use it, which is messy, inconvenient, and wasteful. The faulty pump alone keeps me from even considering ordering this product again in the future. At the current price of $22, this styling “cream” costs $1.63 per ounce, which is a good value compared to other curly hair products I use.

    Beachy hair
I have naturally wavey hair this didn’t add any curl to my hair. It is lightweight and use just after a shower for a beachy hair vibe.

  9. Sbc (Amazon Customer)

Creme product works great with no “crunchy” effect and makes my hair soft with manageable curls!
This hair creme for curly hair is fabulous! There is a scent when smelling it in the bottle, but once it’s in my hair, the scent goes away. It seems to moisturize my dry curls and my hair looks healthier and fuller with manageable curls. Once I put it in my wet hair, I will blow dry it after a bit, but just for a moment. That stops my hair from feeling sticky or crunchy. It really works well and holds my curls all day. My only issue is the pump because I have tried so many times to get it to work, but it won’t. I am going to have someone else look at it, but without the pump working properly, it’s a bit of a pain to use the product. The value is fair, especially compared to what salons charge, so the $20 for this is about 1/2 the cost.

  10. Amanda B. (Amazon Customer)

A good creme but not my holy grail
I’ll be honest I have not used this as much as I should have – after opening and using the first time my dog decided to steal it out of the shower and chewed up the nozzle. So it still works but isn’t as convenient for me to use.

It’s a good curl cream, I have never used this brand before. The bottle is large for the $22 price tag – curly products aren’t cheap but this ones isn’t wildly unreasonable either.

I am not falling in love with it though. It doesn’t give tons of slip though the scent is nice. My curls clump but still don’t define as nicely as I can get them with other products. It’s just not my holy grail.

  11. Always a mom (Amazon Customer)

Should be applied to each section of hair – see bottle for instructions
This hair styling cream is advertised to transform hair into soft, flexible and defined waves. On the bottle are instructions to apply it separately to each section of hair, squeezing excess water out. Then dry, a diffuser is suggested.

I found the product to be a bit runny compared to most styling creams that I’ve used. And I did not apply it to a section of hair at a time. I used it in my usual method which is to rub it between by hands, run it through my hair, comb with a very wide toothed comb and then either air dry or dry with a diffuser.

I have some post-menopausal curls to my hair that will stick around a bit if I use a styling product and scrunch my hair. My hair is fairly thick and I have lots of it and wear it shoulder length. I found that used in this way, this product is a bit less effective when compared to other leave-in curl creams. This is likely to be because I am not following the exact directions on the bottle.

Cream Works Well, But Pump Was Cracked
I’ve used this a few times now, and the cream itself does what it’s supposed to. It helps shape waves without making my hair feel stiff or greasy. I’ve tried it both on damp and dry hair, and it spreads easily either way. You don’t need much, just a small amount seems to cover a good section.

The scent is light and doesn’t linger, and I haven’t noticed any buildup or flaking. My hair feels softer after using it, and the waves hold their shape without looking crunchy.

The only issue I ran into was with the pump. It was cracked under the plastic wrap, so I didn’t catch it until I opened it. I’ve been using it by unscrewing the top, which isn’t ideal, but the product inside is still usable.

If the packaging had held up and was not broken, I’d have nothing to complain about. The cream itself is pretty good and works just like described.

    Decent
Wavy Hair Styling Cream | Silicone Free – 400ml – Transforms hair into soft, flexible and defined waves. This is a decent curl cream. Is it worth the money, you could probably find a drug store product that does the same. It has a strong scent to it. That goes away fairly quickly though. Put the cream on wet hair and air dry or diffuse. It doesn’t leave a your hair crunchy because it’s a cream not a gel. You could also add gel after the cream if you wanted to. My main issue is frizz. It kept my curls nicely formed with no crazy frizz.

    Creme with a gel-like hold
I have shoulder length natural wavy / frizzy hair. I’m always searching for new wavy hair products to help accommodate my wave but not weigh it down too much, and this one works well.
The smell is super intense but I do like it, it also dissipates into the hair well to leave a nice scent as it dries. This is a creme consistency but when you emulsify it and run it through your hair it does have some tack to it. I usually need to use a gel after I use a curl creme but I did not need to with this product.
My curl held all day and didn’t get too frizzy or puffy. It’s a good sized bottle for the price and definitely worth the investment!

    Enhances definition!
I’m a mom with super straight hair and don’t have a clue what to do with my daughter’s waves. This styling cream helped bring some definition to my daughter’s curls/waves. I have to keep trying to figure out the right amount to use and she didn’t like the areas where I may have deposited too much product, as it left her curls a little crunchy. But that is likely more user error! The sections where I wasn’t as heavy-handed look soft and defined, even after sleeping on it and air drying. I love that this comes in a pump too, making it easy to dispense. The product itself doesn’t have a strong scent, and lasts a long time!

    Curlook Wavy Hair Styling Cream
This wavy hair styling cream is something that is marketed to my exact hair type, type 2c! I have fine hair but a lot of it and this made my hair softer and more manageable. It did not make it sticky at all. The scent is strong but I like it. It does seem like slightly of a heavier product for my hair but that’s because it’s fine.

    PERFORMS WELL….. SMELLS AMAZING!!!
The quality of this wavy hair styling cream I good. It comes in a 23.5 oz size bottle, it has a nice, pleasant scent, floral-fresh in nature & it smells amazing! It’s very lightweight, & doesn’t weigh my hair down. It leaves my hair soft, moisturized, manageable, flexible, & works well at calming my frizz. It has a thin, lotion-like consistency, it’s easy to use, & performs well at adding some definition to curls. It’s not oily, greasy, sticky, or tacky, & doesn’t leave behind any residue. At the time of this review, it’s priced at $22, & It’s my opinion that it’s reasonably priced when compared to other comparables of the same quality. I recommend.

    Smells nice
My hair is always dry and unmanageable, so I rely on leave-in treatments to keep it looking and feeling its best.

The cream had a mild but pleasant scent. I used two pumps to cover my entire head, and it had a lightweight feel that smoothed in easily and absorbed quickly. It didn’t weigh down my hair or leave it feeling crunchy.

After using it, my hair felt soft, smooth, and more defined, especially my natural waves. I think it’s a great lightweight leave-in treatment.

    Good combination for less
This is way better than some other products I’ve tried in my hair such as Batana oil. It is much lighter on the hair and doesn’t make my head look greasy. Straight-forward and easy to apply for my wavy hair. The scent is welcoming and slightly sweet; It is definitely noticeable. Didn’t have any issues extracting the cream from the bottle.

    Frizz-free hair with soft waves
I was drawn to this styling creme based on the ingredients and the ingredients it is free from. It has a nice texture, comparable to a leave-in conditioner, and is easy to distribute throughout the hair. You only need a small amount. In the bottle, it has a strong, fresh scent, but after use, the smell is very subtle in the hair. I blow-dried my hair with a diffuser, and it gave me good volume and nice waves. I used it together with the coordinating shampoo and conditioner. This styling cream is a great value for the money. It’s a big bottle and you only need a small amount, so it will last a long time.

Helps define curls and keeps frizz away
I have shoulder length, wavy to slightly curly hair, and for years I fought my natural texture by blow drying it straight. Products like this CURLOOK wavy Hair Styling Creme changed all that and taught me to embrace my natural waves.

I tend to have a lot of fly aways and frizz on the top of my head, so after washing and conditioning, I apply a generous amount from ends to roots. The formula is lightweight and spreads easily through wet hair, leaving it soft and manageable once it dries. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it feel stiff or crunchy; instead, it’s really effective at defining my curls and helps keep frizz at bay.

The scent is light and pleasant, and I barely notice it once my hair is dry. I also really appreciate that its sulfate, silicone, parabens, phthalate, gluten and dye free, and packed with nourishing oils and natural ingredients. Overall, I’m really happy with this product and it’s definitely earned a spot in my hair care routine.

Great styling cream for us curly haired girlies
I was very impressed with this styling cream (with this whole line of products really). I have somewhere between 2C/3A curls and this made my curls look uniform and beautiful. It does not make my hair sticky, tacky, or crunchy. This tames my frizz so nicely. It holds my curls all day without weighing down my hair. The scent is light and fresh smelling. It’s subtle which I like as I like to spray my own perfume in my hair. It’s a tad expensive but honestly a little goes a long way, so with the size of this bottle, it will last me awhile. My hair still looks and feels soft after using this. This is one of the most effective styling creams I’ve tried for my thin curly hair.

Nice soft waves, no hard cast!
Using the shampoo, conditioner and styling cream gave me soft bouncy waves My hair is a little frizzy from my own faults (I don’t have a diffuser and also from a bit of bleach damage). My hair feels moisturized and my curls feel fuller. The volume is super nice and no weigh down! The styling cream is easy to use, but add a bit to your hands and run through damp hair, and blow it dry. It washes out with ease too, there is no hard cast on the hair, doesn’t feel crispy!

The smell is also quite nice, it makes the whole room smell so lovely.

Overall this seems like a very nice value styling cream and I am happy with my results.

Makes my hair soft and smooth
I don’t really have curly, wavy or straight hair. I have to do something with my hair one way or the other to make it presentable. I thought I would try this out. I haven’t tried styling it in a wavy style yet but using an air brush with this makes my hair so much better and lay smoother with less flyaways than without it. It also smells very good. My hair feels so nice with this. It is a great size. The lid popped off but I was able to get it back on without issue. Might be on the high end for a styling product but it is nice.

Lightweight and Made my hair feel thicker
I actually had really interesting results with this product! It moisturized my hair without any greasiness or heaviness. I have another leave-in that, i think, weighs my hair down a bit more compared to this product. This one felt more lightweight.

What surprised me most is that it seemed to give my hair more body and thickness. After using it, my hair felt thicker, and looked overall healthy.

    Incredible!
I have long, frizzy, curly and thick hair. There are only certain products that work to make my hair look in control and still have volume, without making my hair greasy or weighed down. I am so happy to have found this product that’s 1/2 the cost of my usual products. The scent smells a little masculine right out of the bottle but I didn’t notice a smell once I put it on my hair. This creme managed my frizz, I was able to run my fingers through my hair and it gave me volume as well. My curls stayed intact and my hair was super soft. This is a high quality cream. I absolutely recommend it.

    Weighs my hair down
This initially smells quite good – a tad fruity and very perfumey – and then it takes on a bit of a chemical smell. It’s not greasy or sticky, and it’s somewhat moisturizing, but it weighs my hair down so that curls don’t hold and my waves don’t stay. That makes it difficult to use as a product to style hair with.

    Works Well
This leave in styling cream works wonders for my long, wavy 2B/2C hair that’s been damaged from heat and chemical treatments. It adds hydration, softness, and smoothness without ever weighing my hair down. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave any residue or cast. It helps tame frizz and split ends, leaving my waves looking healthy, shiny, and defined. I use it after shampooing and conditioning, and my hair stays silky and manageable all day. Highly recommend this product!

    Great curl clumps and definition
I was pleasantly surprised at how well this wavy hair styling cream worked on my hair. I have found very few products that work for my color treated, dry, frizzy hair. My hair is a big mess without styling products. It’s wavy, thick and textured. I can’t even stand looking at it with no products or no styling so usually it’s in a bun.

This product is so easy to use. I did not use the same line of shampoo and conditioner. Shampooed with a sulfate free shampoo and deep conditioner. I emulsified a pump full between my hands then applied to sopping wet hair in sections. I made sure to cover every strand. Doesn’t take a lot. I used 3 pump fulls on my shoulder length hair. I let is air dry for an hour then diffused it gently to get some shrinkage and lift. Then air dried the rest. You do get a cast so I wait until completely dry before scrunching it out with a diffuser or hands covered in Weightless hair oil. Curls were soft, bouncy and defined. Created more curls than most products. A great apply and go also.

I love that there is no sulfates, silicones or parabans which is hard to find in styling products. Has a nice mild scent. Large bottle. Great value. Recommend to all curly hair folks.

Just A Little for Soft Waves!
I have dry, light, frizzy hair, and this leave-in styling cream helped with that without leaving my hair feeling like it had suddenly gained fifty pounds. It’s not scent-free, but the smell isn’t too bad, and it’s a lot better than covering your head with hairspray. Also like hairspray, use just a little so it doesn’t crunch when you touch it! I love how easy this is to use!

    Left my hair feeling great!
This CURLOOK Wavy Hair Styling Cream really surprised me. I’ve used a ton of different hair mousses, gels and styling creams and haven’t ever found any one that really stood out. Maybe it’s been different for you, but though I do think they generally make my hair less frizzy and some help keep fly aways at bay, there hasn’t been one that I’ve loved except this one. I showered, washed and conditioned my hair last night and then used the styling cream and brushed my hair and put it up.

My hair is quite long and wavy and I usually wear it in a ponytail. Today the texture of my hair is softer and smoother and the waves, wave. I’m surprised because It felt kind of heavy as I applied it and expected to feel it when it dried, but there’s no heaviness, stickiness or residue at all.

Another reviewer mentioned that the found the scent masculine. I do get that. It isn’t flowery and it does smell a bit like a man’s aftershave or cologne, but it’s very mild and I don’t smell it on my hair, just when I put my nose to the bottle.

    Pretty good styling cream
This styling cream has a very thin and watery consistency, and a little bit goes a long way.

It initially feels nice in my hair works in easily, leaving my hair feeling soft. Once it dries it does make my hair quite crunchy and dry, but it looks good.

When refreshing it with water for subsequent days after wash day, it does okay, but not amazing.

Overall I think it’s a decent product, it’s not amazing and there’s definitely better options for me personally, but it’s also a bit better than average in terms of styling creams.

    stars leaves residue
This wavy hair styling cream gives decent curl definition and helps tame frizz. But it’s not exactly an invisible or soft to the touch kind of hold, because it can leave leave hair a bit crunchy. It is a noticeable hold, but there is product residue. It’s easy to apply on damp hair, and the scent is noticeable but not overpowering. Overall, it works okay for wavy or curly hair, though it doesn’t leave hair as soft and smooth as hoped.

Good Styling Cream for Curly Hair
My daughter has very curly hair and this CURLOCK Wavy Hair Styling Cream does a nice job of taming and shaping her curls. She likes the look and appreciates that her hair remains soft and natural looking. The scent is fairly strong but not unpleasant no favourite but she didn’t mind it the ingredient list is long by CURLOCK claims it is “Free of Sulfate, Silicone, Dyes, Parabens, Dea, Phthalate, GMO and Gluten”, which is great. It’s not inexpensive, but 400ml is a large bottle and a little does go a long way. Overall, this is a good styling cream that does what it says it will do .

Smells great. My hair still is wavy it was was before after applying.
I have a little bit of a wave in my hair so I bought the cream to try and enhance it, I applied it after washing with the shampoo and conditioner of the same brand and I didn’t find a huge difference. I did let it air dry and it does recommend to blow dry so then maybe that would’ve made more of a wave. It does smell amazing And my hair feels very soft, no heavy, sticky, feeling,It is also die free and sulphate free.

    Amazing styling cream
This styling cream is amazing for wavy hair. After I get out of the shower, I just put a little bit of my hair and then scrunch it a bit. It leaves my hair, feeling lightweight and easily manipulated. It has helped my hair feel fresh and secure.

    Soft and Lightweight Styling Cream
I’ve been using this leave-in cream on damp hair and it helps shape soft waves without feeling heavy. It’s silicone free and doesn’t leave any buildup or greasy texture. My hair feels more flexible and looks more defined after it dries. The cream spreads easily and has a light scent that fades quickly. It works well for daily use and doesn’t weigh down my hair. I like that it’s made in Canada and the 400ml size lasts a while.

good for styling, but won’t use every day
This was absolutely awesome for me when I needed loose waves for my halloween costume. I used it along with the coordinating shampoo & conditioner, and it was super helpful in taming the frizz, though it did leave my hair a bit crunchy. Its a thicker liquid (or a thin gel, depending on your vibe. lol) and was easy to apply as you just scrunch it into wet hair.
Definitely a “night out” product though, as I typically only wash my hair every 2-3 days, and this left my hair a bit greasy looking the next morning, despite my hair having been freshly washed when i used this.

    Thick, nice scent, worked well
I love the scent of this cream. The cream is thick. I don’t need to use alot so the bottle will last a while. It held my curl well.

This wavy styling cream really lives up to its name!
I have naturally wavy hair, but it usually gets very frizzy if I wash it the night before. This styling cream really helps to tame and smooth my hair so I get nice defined waves. The styling cream is easy to use and a little goes a long way. I like that my hair still stays soft without the stiff look that I get from using hairspray. I will continue to use this styling cream and would recommend it for anyone who has wavy or curly hair!
