I ordered this for my Wife. She has a combination of 3C – 3D hair with more coils than curls. Here are her comments:
– This shampoo has a wonderful scent to it. I recognize it, but I can not place it yet. If you are sensitive to scents, be aware of this. For me, I love the scent.
– My hair is cut in a long bob just above my shoulders. When I wash my hair, I concentrate on my scalp when using the shampoo. I wash about once every 5 to 7 days in the Fall/Winter/Spring. This shampoo is gentle on my hair but cleans my scalp really well. It removes oil, pollutants, and odours with two washes. I do still use a clarifying shampoo once a month, yet I am finding this shampoo does really well on its own.
– The shampoo is very hydrating. I find it will help to detangle before I condition. My other shampoos do not do that, which is really remarkable.
– I do not find the shampoo to be heavy, nor does it leave behind a residue. The moisturizing helps to make my hair feel thicker.

Nice shampoo – wife really likes it.
I’ll start by saying that there is a bit of an offness to the fragrance, but it was very mild in our bottle, so overall (and with the use of the conditioner), the smell is actually quite nice.
In terms of function, too, it’s great. Hair is definitely smoother, softer, and looks and feel cleaner after use. Don’t need a huge amount to get a good lather, either, so for the price it’s actually a decent value.
In all, we both think it’s a pretty good shampoo all around. Would order again.

My wife was really intrigued by this shampoo. She has type 3C hair so while not quite kinky-coily, she still felt this would work well, and she has been pleased.
She mentioned that it has a nice fragrance, which is the same across this Curlook line. It’s more of a hydrating shampoo rather than a cleansing shampoo, so if that’s what you’re looking for you’ll enjoy this. It also has a bit of slip for a shampoo.
Combined with the other Curlook products, this makes for a solid line. I don’t know much when it comes to haircare, but the biggest indicator that my wife likes a product is that she sticks with it, and she has with these Curlook products.

My wife has curly hair and she’s always looking for shampoos that complement it. When we saw this one, we decided to order it so she could give it a try. It smells great and she loves the effect it has on her hair!
The shampoo arrives in a large plastic bottle that’s loose in the package and covered in plastic wrap. There’s also a foil seal under the cap that needs to be removed. The scent is really nice and even with my wife having a lot of hair, she didn’t need much shampoo for a full wash.
She uses some of the other products as well to improve the quality of her hair afterwards, but as a base this shampoo does a really nice job. It really clears out the grime and leaves her hair ready for conditioning.
Overall, this is a really nice shampoo and my wife enjoys the smell and how it applies and rinses off. If you’re looking to try a nice shampoo for curly hair, I can recommend this one!

I have now tried a few products from this brand and I am really enjoying them. I have wavy, dry, coloured hair that is prone to frizzing. Well, it’s always frizzy without products and care.
I don’t have coils hair but I figured this would moisturize better than most shampoos. I find that it lathers well and gives you good slip. Paired with the conditioner and curl cream and I get fantastic soft, bouncy curls without feeling heavy with a lot of product build up.

Moisturizing. Cleansing and gentle on my hair
This shampoo is fantastic! It came well packaged with no chance of spillage or leakage. The bottles are nice and well branded. I was impressed on first look. The ingredients have some very good things, but it took me time to look up some ingredients as there are more chemical-made up formulations. Overall, it more natural.
I left my hair unwashed and full of moisturizing products for 8 days before washing. I washed my hair a total of 3 times to strip away any residues. My hair felt very clean and well moisturized even before applying a conditioner.
The shampoo scent isnt great for my liking, but it is subtle enough and doesn’t leave your hair with any noticeable scent once dried.
This is a wonderful shampoo and I was pleasantly surprised at having such good results with moisturized, clean hair.

I love shampoos that are vegan and cruelty free and I definitely support this one. My hair feels so clean after applying this shampoo and I really feel like it gives my scalp a deep, but gentle clean. This shampoo does not give me dandruff and does not dry out my scalp too much. I have been natural with my hair for almost ten years now, so I am very particular about the products I use to avoid breakage and buildup and retain moisture and length.
After analyzing the ingredients in this product, everything listed is appropriate for natural curly hair like mine.
The shampoo cleanses gently without stripping moisture and the conditioner detangles and provides a good amount of slip.
Once dried, my hair was soft, shiny and the curls were as juicy as ever.
I will say however that the scent is a bit strong, which I don’t mind, but be aware for anyone with scent sensitivities.

Luxurious lather and hair feels good
I ordered this Curlook Shampoo for Kinky-Coily Hair even though I don’t have Kinky-Coily Hair. I used to have real curls but now my hair seems to be just wavy. Regardless, the shampoo is great for me. I ordered it because I tried another of the Curlook products, a leave-in hair styling cream and it left my hair feeling so incredibly soft and shiny.
Anyway, another reviewer didn’t like the smell of the product. I don’t have that issue at all. I find it pleasant enough, nothing too strong, maybe a bit floral. I used it this time just after putting henna in my hair (I use it instead of dye because it isn’t chemical). Henna usually leaves my hair smelling like compost for a few days, but instead it smells lightly fragrant and not the compost kind of fragrant, but more the pleasant fragrance kind.
Back to the properties of the shampoo. Well, the major and best thing about using it is the lather. It produces a beautiful thick and rich lather that is incredibly satisfying and rare. And, even without conditioner on top of it, my hair felt smooth and quite good. It’s been a while since I found a shampoo that I’ve liked this much.

The shampoo is really luxurious, it lathers up extremely nicely into a rich foam that makes a little bit of product go a long way and cleans really well without leaving my hair or scalp feel stripped.
The one issue I have with these Curlook products is that they smell bad, like, bad in a very “chemical” kind of way and it permeates it so much that even just handling the bottles leave your hands smelling strangely. It would have been way more pleasant to use if they had masked/perfumed it in way to minimize that scent.

As a shampoo for someone with big thick and dense hair this lathers well, washes off cleanly and doesn’t leave any residue or greasy feeling. I appreciate that it’s made right here in Canada and free of many colour and nourishment stripping ingredients.
That said, and this seems to be a recurring theme with Curlook Shampoos (but not their Conditioner for some reason) that aren’t ‘MENS’ in that there is an odd funk to the scent. While it tends to dissipate and mellow out a little bit after the bottle is open for a few weeks, I am not sure if this is an intentional move or a manufacturing error in that there’s an odd musk and borderline spoilt citrus peel – what I usually refer to as Jamaican funk when sampling rums but here its present in this shampoo. I’m still on the fence as to whether or not I am a fan but I can say it is a little polarizing at first. Not sure i’d repeat the purchase because of it.

Great moisturizing shampoo for curly hair
Ingredients wise, this shampoo is great for kinky/curly hair (4A-4C). It’s sulfate free, colour safe and doesn’t have the bad ingredients we want to avoid. It’s mostly scent free or if there is a scent I couldn’t really tell. The shampoo has a really nice lather and leaves my hair feeling clean, but still has moisture. After shampooing my hair didn’t feel tangled.

I’ve been using this Curlook shampoo for 2 weeks and it’s been a pleasant hygiene product. It suds up very easily and it also rinses of easily. I have not found it to leave any residue in my hair. I do not have kinky-curly hair, but it is wavy/curly and very frizzy. I have very few natural oils so my hair tends to get dried out pretty quickly, leading to a lot of breakage. I decided to try this shampoo because I figured a shampoo made for even curlier hair would probably be less likely to dry out my hair.
So far this seems to be working well. It doesn’t feel like it strips my hair of all moisture, and yet it does wash out product buildup very well. My hair felt softer after rinsing it out than it does with most shampoos. I still have to use a ton of conditioner to keep my hair from turning into one big knot after it dries, but I think this shampoo helps a little more than my old shampoo did.
It does have a smell, though it’s not too strong or unpleasant, and it doesn’t linger after I rinse it out (which is something I like – I get tired of smelling smells when they stick around for too long).
At the current price of 20 dollars for one bottle, this does seem kind of expensive to me. I know that salon brands are a lot more expensive but I’m used to spending a lot less on shampoo. I do think it works well and I’m happy with this product, but I don’t think I’d spend that much to get it again. Although we’ll see, maybe I’ll change my mind by the end of the bottle.

The shampoo came in well packaged. It has a good size bottle, 400ml. This is my favorite type of dispenser cap, I just push down the lid to get the soap out. It’s so convenient. The shampoo has light yellow color with thick body. It smells nice, mild and refreshing. I’m someone who loves to overuse the amount of shampoo in general to get lots of foam while shampooing. However, I only use half of my usual amount of this shampoo and it creates lots of nice and soft lather the way I like it. It’s so gentle to my scalp and was washed off easily. After shampooing, my hair felt so fresh, soft and clean with nice volume to it. I loved how my hair feels so much. It didn’t dry out my hair or scalp. I have very sensitive scalp but this shampoo didn’t cause my any irritations at all. Overall, it’s such high quality shampoo that gave me the result I was looking for. I would give the product more than 5 stars if I could. Highly recommended.

Alright for curly hair, weird scent
I love using curlook products so I got this shampoo. The quality of the shampoo itself is nice, the bottle feels solid and the lid is reliable. For my curly hair, the problem I usually encounter is friziness and the curls being too wide. This helps a little with this issue, helping reduce friziness and dryness that causes it. Since it’s more gentl the shampoo doesn’t dry out my hair or scalp at all. My only issue is that it kind of smells bad, I don’t like it at all and I have to use product after to minimize the lingering scent. I can say it works, but I don’t know if it’s worth the current price of $20.

Shampoo for curly hair
I love the smell of this shampoo, although it’s a little strong.
It lathers well and cleans nicely without overdrying. It actually leaves a smooth feeling behind more so than I’m used to with my other shampoos. My hair is wavy with random curly hairs mixed in making it a frizzy mess all the time and this shampoo slightly helps with it.
The squeeze tube is easy to use and is pretty generously sized. This shampoo should last a while with use every few days, but it is priced a little high at $20 a bottle.

I didn’t find anything particularly special about this shampoo. It lathers well, and the scent is pleasant without being overwhelming. My hair felt soft afterward, but by the next day it was already starting to feel a bit oily. It’s a decent-sized bottle, but I think the price is a little high for the results.

gentle and hydrating
I have fine hair that is wavy/curly and tends to be frizzy. I got this shampoo on a whim and I think it actually works really well for my hair type. First of all it has a wonderful scent. It is very fruity and fresh and not too overpowering. The shampoo itself lathers well, and it only takes a small amount (dime sized) per use for my hair. It leaves my hair feeling clean and soft without weighing it down too much. This is a very hydrating shampoo and is good quality overall. It is gentle enough for daily use, and I’ve been doing so for a few weeks now. I also like that this is made with good quality ingredients and is free from sulfates, silicone, dyes, parabens, and phthalates. The bottle is a decent size (13.5 oz) and should last several months for me with daily use. I do think it is a bit pricey and isn’t necessarily the best value. I have enjoyed trying it though and will finish the bottle, but I would not purchase again at this price point.

Kinky curly shampoo

Not a bad shampoo. It’s kinda of a standard container size. I put a photo in to reference for scale. It’s clear and smells nice like shower gel but it’s a subtle scent and probably won’t be noticeable unless you use a lot. I didn’t notice what made this specifically designed for kinky or curly hair. It seemed to work and clean hair just like any other shampoo. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I would buy again if I saw it

Rich, creamy lather to clean your curls
As someone with 3A/3B curly hair, I don’t wash my hair a ton, but when I do, I want a curl-oriented shampoo. The scent was mild and fresh and the lather was rich and creamy. It felt good and not too “soapy” and drying like some shampoos can feel. There is only so much to be expected from shampoo outcomes with my class of curls but my hair felt clean afterwards, and when paired with the Curlook conditioner and finished with the Curlook Curl my Hair Styling Cream, my curls have never looked better.

Just a small amount of this shampoo makes a great lather. It smells nice, a fresh smell, not too strong. After my showers my hair feels soft and is easily combed and styled. My hair doesn’t have tight curls, they are more loose, and this shampoo doesn’t weigh my hair down. My curls are more naturally defined because there’s not any product residue.
